And so the saga about the guidelines for passenger vessels (otherwise known as cruise ships) continues.
Several weeks ago the US Access Board announced they had extended the public comment period on the draft guidelines to July 28, 2005. Today they announced the dates and city locations of two additional public hearings on the issue. They are listed below.
- June 24, 2005 (afternoon) Los Angeles, CA
- July 25, 2005 (morning) Washington, DC
Specific locations will be announced at a later date.
If you plan to testify, you must inform the Access Board so they can add you to their list. Contact Paul Beatty (202-272-0012, firstname.lastname@example.org) to be added to the list or for any information about the hearings.
Information about this ongoing saga, including details on the draft guidelines, instructions on how to comment and my own public comments on the guidelines, can be found in my blog entries listed below.

Think positively. One day we will have actual guidelines on the book. I wonder if I will be too old to cruise by then?
The saga continues.
