Debbie, from the Toronto Zoo, e-mailed me to let me know about their discounts for people with disabilities. Disabled visitors receive 50% off general admission, and free admission for an accompanying caregiver.
The 710-acre Toronto Zoo features 10 kilometers of walking trails, most of which are accessible. Other access features include plenty of accessible parking, wheelchairs available for free loan, accessible restrooms, wheelchair-accessible zoomobiles and reserved wheelchair spaces at the Waterside Theater.
Although the zoo has done it’s best to make their venue as accessible as possible, Debbie cautions folks that there are still a few steep hills in the complex, especially the hill up to the Canadian Domain.
Still, it’s a fun attraction, and with a 50% discount you can save a little money too.
