If you’d like to learn a little more about California’s Musical Diversity, then head on over to the California Museum in Sacramento on September 19, 2009, for their free Musical California program.
Inspired by California Hall of Fame inductees Dave Brubeck and Quincy Jones, and sponsored by Target, Musical California will feature a day full of musical surprises. The program includes free admission to the museum and will feature a variety of local music groups, a kid-friendly interactive musical instrument “petting zoo”, a California-themed karaoke lounge, and crafts and games with prizes. And (while supplies last) all visitors will receive a special gift from Target.
Wheelchair-access is excellent throughout the museum, with elevator access to all floors and plenty of room to roll around in the galleries. Free loaner wheelchairs are also available at the security desk.
The California Museum is located on the corner of 10th & O Streets in downtown Sacramento. As an added bonus, on the weekends there’s no charge for parking.
So come on out on September 19 and enjoy Musical California.
