Downy Wrinkle Releaser Really Works!

My very wrinkled test t-shirt.

I have to admit that I was more than a little skeptical when a PR person contacted me about Downy Wrinkle Releaser. Granted it comes in a nice three-ounce size, so it’s easy to pack along on trips, but does it really work? I remember some of the wrinkle releasers from the 70s, which just kind of wet your clothes and didn’t do much for the wrinkles. They  ranked right up there with waterless shampoo, as far as product efficiency goes.

But I digress.

As a frequent traveler I try to travel with easy care no-wrinkle fabrics; but in reality that doesn’t always work. Sometimes you just have to bring that 100% cotton shirt along; and let’s not even talk about what Laundromats do to even the best of fabrics. In any case, I decided to enter this with an open mind, and give this new product a try, in hopes that technology has improved the whole process over the years.

And I wasn’t disappointed.

When my sample package arrived it contained a three-ounce spray bottle of Downy Wrinkle Releaser, instructions for use, and a white shrink wrapped item shaped like an airplane. Come to find out that the shrink wrapped item was a t-shirt – the most wrinkled t-shirt I have ever seen!!.

So I followed the instructions

First I sprayed the t-shirt with the product.

Then I pulled and tugged on it and flattened it out with the palm of my hand.

And here's the final result!

Although there were still a few very small wrinkles left, for the most part the product did a good job of making the shirt presentable.

Again, this shirt was more wrinkled than anything I’d ever seen, so in that respect it did a great job.

Anyway, my little trial sold me, and Downy Wrinkle Releaser is definitely going along with me on our next road trip. Although it’s great for air travel, road trips can take a toll on clothes too, and I’m looking forward to being wrinkle free when I hit the road next week.

Now if I could only find a wrinkle releaser that works on the wrinkles on my face, I’d be all set!
