Adaptive Kayaking in Baja California

If you like to kayak, or maybe just think you’d like to give it a shot, then have I ever got a trip for you. Environmental Traveling Companions (ETC) just announced their 2015 schedule, which kicks off with a cool week-long kayaking trip in Baja California. And the folks at ETC are the experts in adaptive paddling, so you couldn’t be in better hands.

The trip costs $1350 per person, and it includes all kayak gear, professional guides, camping accommodations and meals, and hotels on the first and last nights of the trip. And if the price tag is all that’s keeping you from joining in on the fun, then keep in mind that ETC offers sliding scale scholarships to people with disabilities.

It sounds like a wonderful trip, with plenty of time to kayak around Espiritu Santo Island. But the kayaking is just the tip of the iceberg, as you’ll also be able to boulder up arroyos, snorkel with the sea lions and explore the beautiful white sand beaches.

I’ve never been kayaking with the ETC folks, but I have been on a rafting trip with them, and it was loads of fun. I also have to say that they are very, VERY safety conscious, more so than any other outfitter I’ve traveled with.

So mark you calendar for April 19-26, 2015, and get ready to have some serious outdoor fun in Baja. For more information about the trip, contact Oren Frey at kayak@etctrips.org, or just cruise on by the ETC website.

Oh, and tell a friend.
