I have two pieces of good news to share today. As I sit here in my Icelandic sweater, shivering in front of my keyboard, I’m happy to announce the release of my newest book, “Barrier-Free Travel; Favorite Florida State Parks for Wheelers and Slow Walkers”. Ah, to be in the warm Sunshine State again!!
The book is the result of our Florida road trip earlier this year, and it contains access details on trails, attractions and even cabins in some of my favorite Florida State Parks. From manatee viewing and accessible boardwalk trails, to a barrier-free glass bottom boat tour, snorkeling excursion and even a natural spring with a wheelchair lift, there’s something for just about everyone in this book. And the cabins are a very accessible and affordable lodging option. On the other hand if you want to sleep out under the stars or camp in your RV, there are also a good number of accessible campgrounds included.
It’s a great resource for seniors, parents with stroller-aged children, Baby Boomers, folks who just like to take things a littler slower, and anybody who uses a cane, walker, wheelchair or scooter.
And the second piece of good news is that for a limited time you can get a special friends and family discount on my new title. Just go to the Barrier-Free Florida page and use the discount code 9NTS8YU6.
Look at it this way — if you can’t be someplace warm this winter, you may as well read about it. And feel free to pass along the news — and the discount code!
