Have you visited Daytona Beach lately? Well, if you are looking for a great accessible beach destination, then check it out. And before you go, be sure and have a look at the new Daytona Beach Access Guide.
Sponsored by the Daytona Beach CVB, this on-line guide was researched by local resident Steve Deal. It contains tons of helpful access information on public transportation, accommodations, attractions, restaurants and even equipment rental in the Daytona Beach area.

The thing I like best about this guide is the way access information is presented. I call in "Emerging Horizons style" as the access features of each entry are described in detail, rather than just listed as "accessible" or "not accessible". Different people have different access needs, so it’s important to fully describe the access so people can make appropriate choices. That’s been the Emerging Horizons credo for the past 10 years!
In any case, it’s great to see so many cities putting out access guides. And it’s just one more reason to visit Daytona Beach!! Of course the other reason is the weather! I don’t know about you, but I’m getting pretty tired of all this rain. And after a quick check at weather.com, I see Daytona Beach is free from those dreaded April Showers!
Sounds like it’s time to hit the beach! Daytona Beach, that is.
