I got an e-mail last week form Particia Kosta, the owner of ADA Nationwide Roadside Assistance. According to her note her company is “the only auto club in the USA who provides paratransit lift service as a benefit to our members.”
Sounds like a good idea to me.
Additionally they offer emergency assistance to wheelchair- and scooter-users if their assistive device (not just their car) becomes disabled. According to their website they will “send a service provider to your location and provide transport home or to a repair facility” if this should happen.
Apparently they have contracts with paratransit providers across the country so they have access to a good accessible transportation network. And they will tow/drive you 100 miles.
The cost is $75 a year for individual membership. And you don’t have to be disabled to join. Seems like a good deal just for that 100 mile towing.
Check out their FAQs to learn more about their service.

Now you don’t have to pay extra for that accessible taxi ride home when you can’t get into the tow truck. Or worse yet -- be stuck on the roadside indefinitely.
