Well, we're off to New Mexico tomorrow to do some editorial research for Emerging Horizons. I've covered New Mexico before, and generally speaking I've been very pleased with the access I've found there.
I've also been very pleased with the turquoise jewelry I've found there, and I'm looking forward to adding to my collection!
It will be a busy trip as I've got a lot of site visits and property inspections lined up, but in the end it should yield a plethora of resources for Emerging Horizons readers. Look for New Mexico coverage to start in the Fall 2005 issue of Emerging Horizons.
In the interim, if New Mexico is on your travel itinerary, then check out their on-line access guide at www.state.nm.us/gcch/accessnm.htm. The most meaningful access-related information can be found by clicking on the "search" feature, where you will be able to pull up specific access details on restaurants, accommodations and attractions. It's a little dated, but it's still a pretty good starting point.
It really is a diverse state, and I'm looking forward to exploring it more next week.
